FEBRUARY 2011 - NEW HOTEL IN VALENCIA

The hotel Melia Valencia Palacio de Congresos opened to the public on Monday Feby 21st. The former Hilton Valencia will be the flighship of Melia chain in Valencia. This outstanding 29 storey building boast a 4 star business hotel with 304 rooms and 16 state-of-the-art meeting rooms and a grand ballroom with a capacity up to 800 pax.

The hotel is located literally across the road from the Valencia Congress Palaced, a magnificent Sir Norman Foster building that has been recognised as the best Congress Center in the world in 2010.

JUNE 2010 - F1 TELEFONICA EUROPEAN GRAND PRIX

From the 25th to the 27th June, Valencia hosted the third edition of Formula 1's Telefonica European Grand Prix, which saw vitory go to Sebastian Vettel from the Red Bull team. The track whre the race was held is one of the few street circuits in the championship, and covers the Juan Carlos I Marina, home of the America's cup, and the city's expansion zone out towards the port, connecting the main thoroughfares with the harbour area. The event was a huge sucess, once more earning the city of Valencia pole position.
